連日梅雨土石鬆動，日前嘉義有落石砸死女老師，復興三光國小老師黃簡娟25日開車行經台7線23公里處，忽聞巨響，回頭驚見2顆全民英檢中級單字與近成人高的落石就在車後，「再慢個2秒便被砸到」，嚇得她頻念「哈利路亞」。
黃簡娟說，昨天課後趕著到介壽國小接送孩子，下午近5時行經台7線23公里處，險些被落石砸中，下車查看，目測落石大小約2人環抱的寬度，高度將近轎車頂。當下感謝主的庇佑，幸免於難。也因為從小習慣坍方，甚至還曾看過大片落石淹沒道路，昨的落石還算輕微狀況。
黃簡娟也說，近來剛好是水蜜桃農忙時期，事發後趕緊通報，擔心落石阻路，影響農民收穫。
公路總局復興工務段表示，昨晚間7時已清除落石，近來山區連日降雨，呼籲用路人小心落石，雨天盡量避免上山。若雨量到一定程度，工務段也不排除加強機具進駐各點，以利第一時間清除落石，恢復交通。
同時，也會加強邊坡巡查，防患未然。
